About Me: The Voice Behind the Vision

“Hi, I’m Michelle. I’ve worn many hats over the years—elementary school teacher, reference librarian, fitness counsellor, and health coach. Today, I’ve transitioned those years of experience into my role as an independent voice and lifestyle advocate dedicated to exploring what it means to live a vibrant, intentional life in Canada after 50.

I’ve been living solo for more than a decade. It’s a journey that has been filled with valuable lessons, heartbreak, and incredible highs. Through it all, I’ve discovered that the skills I’ve honed to thrive as a solo woman—resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to health—are the very things we all need to navigate the ‘Mid-Life+’ chapters with confidence.

A Perspective, Not a Requirement While I write from the solo side of the street, this space isn’t just for those living alone. It’s for anyone who refuses to buy into the myth that aging means declining. Whether you are partnered, single, or somewhere in between, we are all asking the same questions: How do I stay capable? How do I deepen my connections? How do I create a home that feels like an anchor?

What You’ll Find Here I’m passionate about the latest breakthroughs in health, the power of a good book, and the ‘social courage’ it takes to try new things after 50. From navigating the emotional side of semi-retirement to finding the best ways to stay active in a Canadian winter, I share lived-in reflections designed to inspire and challenge.

I believe that our ‘Mid-Life+’ years are our time to shine—not because of who we are (or aren’t) standing next to, but because of who we are becoming.

I’m so glad you’re here for the conversation. Let’s make these years count.”

A Little About Me

Hi everybody it’s me, Michelle!

Welcome to my blog. I hope you find it both interesting and helpful.

I’ve worn many hats over the years—elementary school teacher, reference librarian, fitness counselor, health coach, and more. Now, I’m a Content Creator, running a blog and YouTube channel. I’m passionate about the latest scientific breakthroughs in health, cutting-edge technology, and exploring what the future holds for life in Canada.

I grew up in Toronto, ON, and lived there until my late twenties. I attended York University and the University of Ottawa—go Gee-Gees! I’ve been solo for more than a decade, a journey filled with valuable lessons. My life has been rich with rewarding experiences that emerged out of the heartbreak, highs and lows, and countless moments that called for a fresh plan. Through it all, continuous learning and growth have been the foundation that has kept me grounded.
